![]() It's not our first tattoo so we know how the healing process goes.about 2-3 days later, the redness got worse and it began to swell up around the tattoo. If the issues had stopped there, I would have honestly still given at least a 3-4 star review but trust me it gets worse.Second, my other friend who got a tattoo from Josh Egnew the same day end up getting more than what he bargained for, he end up with CELLULITIS! YES, AS IN A SERIOUS BACTERIAL SKIN INFECTION!!!! We got home and we noticed over the course of a few days, the skin around one particular area of the tattoo was getting really red. I am not an unreasonable person, so given the fact I was initially happy with the artwork I did not say a word and paid the fee. One, initially when I went to make the appointment for Josh Egnew at the parlor I was told he charged an hourly rate which we were completely fine with since that's what we are used to but by the end of my tattoo session, the price I was told to pay was about $150 more than what it should of been. I will start with the minor issues first. If I could give zero stars I would but unfortunately that is not an option on yelp so I guess the one star will go to at least one of us walking out of there with a decent tattoo. Thank you for making 30 so magical! Read Less And he finished my beautiful Crane in less than 40 minutes! Josh is a god and this place is Mt. The craftsmanship and detail he put into my tattoo is impeccable! He absolutely slayed the work of my best friend's tattoo, as well. Don't be jealous of our flock.)Our tattoo artist was Josh Arseneau and he does some phenomenal work. (Hint: The more friends you bring, the more variety & spins you get, as long as you pay, of course.) My BFFFFFF got a Sparrow & I got a Crane. However, if you do not like the tattoo you can just shrug your shoulders and leave, or pay another an additional $20 to get another coin to spin again. My best friend & I spun twice, so we had the choice of choosing between 4 tattoos, between the 2 of us. Whatever comes out of that machine is the tattoo you get. In order to get a sketch, you pay the shop $100 to get a token that enables you to spin the gumball machine wheel. This particular service is the epitome of spontaneity. There's a gumball machine filled dozens of random sketches & drawings by the tattoo artists of Electric Anvil Tattoo. ![]() My best friend & I made our way to this particular tattoo shop because they had a "Get What You Get Tattoo" service. It was August 18th, 2018: a hot & humid day.but thank God for Electric Anvil Tattoo's A/C. Worthless WASTE of 2 1/2 hours of my trip in Brooklyn and my families time. For my 30th birthday my BFFFFFF and I took an Über-from the Bronx-just to come to this beautiful tattoo parlor. Therefore I opted out of us spending $1400 plus dollars on family tattoos based on the unprofessionalism and unpleasant experience as a 1st time visitor to this establishment. Which he stated,"It would take 3hrs when I selected my 2nd choice. He comes outside and stated, "Their tattoos were about to be next." I asked abt mine and he said, "That mine would need an appointment because it would take 3 hours and they close. My niece asked him what was the wait time. After waiting outside for 1 1/2 hours and observing Vincent walking out the shop to retrieve paper towels from the grocery store. My sister and my niece finally selected their final tattoos to be drafted and agreed on pricing about 30mins later. Again I said let's do it and I would make an appointment on 7/25 to get the initial choice completed (as my flight leaves tomorrow). I was preliminary quoted $500 then after drawing it up I was quoted $700. After discussing pricing for the art we wanted (Which I had to change my initial Tattoo that I wanted because Vincent told me I would need an appointment to get that particular one done!). She spoke with Vincent, all was set and we were told to be there by 4pm. I had my sister call and setup an appointment for her, myself and my niece to get tattoos today. The ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE! If I could give a ZERO it would have been done.
